THE LORD OF THE RINGS DIORAMAS: SECOND ROUND, PART 4. TREEBEARD, MERRY & PIPPIN AT FANGORN. YEAR: 2013.

Fourth deliver of our Lord of the Rings dioramas. Today we dedicate it to maybe one of the most special and popular characters among the Tolkien literature. We all were impresed when Merry and Pippin, fleeing from the Orcs, climbed up a tree that is able to speak... of course we talk about Treebeard.

It is another diorama full of color and small details in wich we have wanted to reproduce the forest of Fangorn with its abundant and lush vegetation. Just check out the density of the trees and bushes at the ground.
We have painted Barbol with the same colours as the forest to get coherence between them. Grey of its bark and dark green of the moss create the appearance of a very ancient Ent.

Of course Merry and Pippin must be in this scene. Here you can see them more detailed.

 Treebeard walking through Fangorn.

We have used different green tones in the treetops in order to create more depth.

Details of the ground. Pay attention at the roots and the spots of warm colours scattered in the grass.
