CHAOS CHAMPION OF KHORNE. YEAR: 2012.

Here is the miniature for today. It is just the first one that we will show you from our new request. This Chaos Champion of Khorne will be followed by 12 Tau Fire Warriors.

Miniature has been painted like the original one propoused by Games Workshop. However, it has been dimmed a bit to reflect the nature of Chaos.
There you have the photos:

Lateral vision of the Chaos Champion.

Front view. Our customer asked us for Goblin Green at the base. It really highlights and gives more colour to the miniature.

Shoulder pad details. We have worked on the golden parts of the armor here due to the importance  of the Khorne icon.

Viewed from above, this Chaos Champion has a great posture over the pile of skulls.

With this last photo we finish for today, but remember that tomorrow we will have a surprise post.

SPACE WOLVES ARMY II: SCOUTS SQUAD, VENERABLE DREADNOUGHT ,LOGAN GRIMNAR AND RAGNAR BLACKMANE. YEAR: 2012.

If last week we bring you what is the first part of a huge the Lord of the Rings request, this week we have wanted to retake another big work that, unfortunately, we don't have enuogh time to dedicate to it. It's the Space Wolves army that we show you a month ago. What we have painted now is:

- 11 Scouts squad with several army combinations.
- A Space Wolves Venerable Dreadnought of Forge World.
- The commander of the Space Wolves Chapter: Logan Grimnar, the Great Wolf.
- The lord of the company in which is inspired this army: Ragnar Blackmane.

We have followed the metallic and golden tones along with snow bases and a lot of weathered brown for the wolves skin cloaks and tails.

Scouts are an odd unit among the Space Wolves armies because they are Elites. Indeed they highlight due to the several details that they carry: weapons, cloaks, knives, grenades... Specially, cloaks have been painted in a snow camo scheme of colours. We really like how they look. We think we have get the way to fit them into the army. As you can see, all of them carry the mark of the Wulfen.

Camo cloaks details.

Now it's time for Venerable Dreadnought of Forge World. This beauty has a "free hand" at his banner. His base has been decorated and highlighted with frozen details and slate, which contrasts perfectly against the snow. Do not miss the wolf skin cloak that carries over the banner and the golden weathered details of his chest.

And now the characters. We start with the commander of the Chapter: Logan Grimnar, the Great Wolf. Check out the weathering of the Axe Morkai and the details of his hair and braids.

And finally, Ragnar Blackmane, the lord of the Company which is based on this army. Even being an old miniature that needs a new design, the result has been great. Details such as the weathered at the Frost Blade and the face make him a great miniature to command a Space Wolves army.

This has been everything for today. It seems that the world is not over, so we will keep painting. 2 squads of Grey Hunters with their respective standard bearers are in process along with two more side projects. You will see what a great things we will bring you in 2013!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM GRUPO AFTERNOON CREW!

THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING, MINES OF MORIA BOXED GAME . THE LORD OF THE RINGS. YEAR: 2012

We dedicate the post of today to a very special work for us. They are not only our first Lord of the Rings miniatures that we paint, but they represent a story and characters that have made us cry and excite since we were children both in books and movies.

Today we show you: the Fellowship of the Ring along with 24 Moria Goblins and a Cave Troll. Who doesn't remember that epic scene at the Chamber of Mazarbul? The Balin's tomb were the Fellowship is attacked by an horde of Goblins and Frodo is wounded by a Cave Troll?

If you are interested in more stuff, we have built a diorama of the winding staircase of Minas Morgul that you will like for sure, and we have already completed the first set of independent miniatures about the Lord of the Rings and the second one.

To us is like remind all those great experiences and believe us, we have seen again the scene one and thousand times to apply the colours of the movie on the miniatures... and of course to remember it.

Altought they are not the best Games Workshop miniatures due to their simpleness and their lack of dynamism, well painted are great. We hope they look even better when we finish the Chamber of Mazarbul's diorama that we are building and we place them inside.
And now photos miniature by miniature:

The Fellowship of the Ring:

And now, the evil forces:

Horde of Moria Goblins and Cave Troll:

Moria Goblins with spear:

Moria Goblins with hand weapon and shield:

Cave Troll:

We have the two forces painted and ready to battle (unfortunately they don't belong to us), so of course we had to face each other to see how they look. This is the result:

Bando de la Luz, la Compañía del Anillo / Good side, the Fellowship of the Ring:

Evil side, horde of Moria Goblins:

This has been just a small part of all we have to paint about the Lord of the Rings (we have already painted more miniatures, but we want to keep them for the next post), thanks we have a huge request. We are going to have the chance to paint almost the entirety miniatures of the characters that appear in the movies!

We hope you like it and cheers!!
