AENARION THE DEFENDER. HIGH ELVES. YEAR: 2014

It seems this month of May is going to offer great models around here.

Our previous post was about some old dwarf war machines. The one of today it is also related with one of most mitic and noble armies of Warhammer Fantasy, very popular among the generals of this universe. It is, of course, the High Elves.

This picture is Aenarion the Defender, the first of the Phoenix Kings and protector of Ulthuan against the Chaos Incursions. Our mission was to convert a High Elf noble miniature in order to reproduce the image below:

To achieve such a great challenge, we get these Games Workshop models:

Using the noble on foot as base for Aenarion, we made some conversions such as: add to the armor and helmet some extra details with Green Stuff, file the shield in order to perform a freehand, etc. After the painting process, this is the result! What do you think, guys?

Aenarion. The armor has been complete modeled with Green Stuff.

It has been included a properly base for such miniature.

As you can see, the original icon of the shield has been eliminated in order to make a freehand and copy as much as possible the emblem of the Aenarion picture.

Did you see the freehand of the Sword of Khaine??

Hope you like it and don't forget to comment!

DWARF WARMACHINES: BOLT THROWER, ORGAN GUN, FLAME CANNON AND DWARF CANNON. YEAR: 2014.

It can be surprising that in these 3 years that we have worked painting miniatures, we never had performed before models from the Dwarfs army of Warhammer Fantasy. Even when it is one of the most popular between the diferent armies. In addition, the miniatures of today are quite rare and special because they are war machines from the 4th and 5th edition!

What you are about to see:

DWARF FLAME CANNON     DWARF CANNON    DWARF BOLT THROWER    ORGAN GUN

DWARF FLAME CANNON AND CREW

There are plenty of details to look at: the apron of the guy with the red barrel, the flames of the cannon...

DWARF CANNON AND CREW

Three wonderful miniatures, painted with a very good choosen scheme of colors.

DWARF BOLT THROWER AND CREW.

Do you remember when it was worth to include in your army one or two Bolt Throwers? Ah...good times!

ORGAN GUN AND CREW

Now we want to show you the war machines by themselves, because these rare miniatures really worth it. The Oldhammer is back!

DWARF CANNON
Even this cannon is pretty old, it has a lot of details.

FLAME CANNON

Check out the bellows that it has.

The painter has had a great idea: he has added furrows at the ground produced when the crew pushed the cannon.

BOLT THROWER

ORGAN GUN

Some photos of the front and rear of each war machine, so you can take a look of them properly:

And finally, we don't want to forget the mighty dwarfs that have to work hard in each battle to shoot this deadly machines:

 WAR MACHINE CREWS

It's been a real pleasure to paint all these models. The result is quite good and full of color. We are sure they will highlight in the army of our customer!
