SPIRIT HOSTS. THE END TIMES. YEAR: 2015.

Here we come again to show you the three Vampire Counts Spirit Hosts that we have painted this week. These models were specifically released for the Games Workshop global campaign "The End Times" which will bring us the end of the 8th Warhammer Fantasy edition and the beginning of the 9th. Faction unions? New types of games and rules? Will Archaon the Everchosen destroy the Old World? We will know everything in a few weeks. In the meantime, let's enjoy these GW models that replace the old ones.

As you see, they have a completely different colour scheme from the original Games Workshop ones. They have been fully airbrush painted in order to perform those lights and transition effects, which contribute at the same time to get that ghostly look. The key point? Illuminate the faces with white and progress toward the dark blue respecting furthermore certain extreme light points (hands, pike of the swords...)

Did you like them? We want to remember you that any comment or doubt is welcome.
Cheers from the whole team!

UNDEAD BLOOD BOWL TEAM. WILLY MINIATURES. YEAR: 2015.

And finally we have the chance to paint a Blood Bowl team! In these four years we have never painted a full team and we really want to dedicate a little corner of our blog to this Games Workshop specilist game. Special order for us and very funny to paint:

Willy Miniatures is a company exclusively dedicated to Blood Bowl. Althought the quality is not premium, you can expect dinamism and originality on their models. Here you've got a pair of Flesh Golem that are a nice example of what we are talking about:

Ghouls are always the base of any Undead team.

Werewolfs are deadly players, very fast and agile but at the same time hard to catch and block.

Ghouls are heavy players very well armored and rule the Undead teams. They are perfect to guard the flanks.

Zombies. Slow but efficient line players.

We hope you like it. In a few time we will upload more teams and not common races, so stay tuned!

OLD NAGASH AND TRUTHSAYER. YEAR: 2015.

And finally here we have the last two promised models. If we add Aenur, Josef Bugman and the dwarf adventurers, we get an epic order of ancient Games Workshop miniatures, something that without doubt is a privilege, both painters and model's owner.
Today: the old figurine of Nagash the Great Necromancer and a Truthsayer, exclusive model released by Games Workshop for its campaign Shadows over Albion in the year 2001.

NAGASH THE GREAT NECROMANCER

Let's begin with Nagash, that great Necromancer and first Undead in the Warhammer universe. As everybody knows, during the last Games Workshop global campaign (The End Times), the company launched a new Nagash model, much more epic, giant and impressive than the old one. However, the ancient miniature was one of the biggest and espectacular of its period too. 100% oldhammer, we are sure that will bring good memories to the oldest Games Workshop fans.

Take a look of every single detail that Nagash has (a nice bunch of them btw). Maybe it is not much impressive now, but this was one of the biggest models of Games Workshop during the Warhammer 4th and 5th edition.

We specially like here the crosier and the blade.

TRUTHSAYER

Another miniature that we are in love with. The warriors from the island of Albion (Truthsayers) are poweful mages that are twinned with the nature. Look what a wondeful model. Caution! Take into account that was modeled at least 14 years ago.

Santi has perfomed the skin and the wood of the crosier perfectly, don't you think?

We don't want to forget the base that our customer has choosen for his Truthsayer. A ruins covered by vegetation is a great environment for a druid.

Finally and as a curiosity, we want to show you a photo of the whole order all together. As you see we have been very lucky because it is hard to find such a bunch of great, funny and old models. We encourage you all to send us your old miniatures. Leave us to paint them and you will get as great outcomes as the ones you can see below:

Thanks for reading and do not forget to comment!

VAMPIRE. YEAR: 2014

In our last post we already told you about the model of today: a vampire.

Maybe is not a usual one. It remind us this Winged Vampire Lord of Warhammer Fantasy, but at the same time it has some differences.

Do you like it?

Wings have been painted with Blood Red and Dwarf Flesh.

Look at the base: the gravestone is a perfect detail for this model.

Skin has been performed with similar scheme of how we should paint bones, but avoiding drybrush technique. Do not forget that is flesh and not bone, at least for the most parts.

The pose is quite shocking.

Don't let your brushes rest. That's the only way to keep improving!

Until our next miniature!

KRELL, LORD OF UNDEATH. YEAR: 2012

Here we got Krell, miniature requested by one of our customers. This incredible Lord is one of the latest Vampire Counts launched by Games Workshop.
Do not miss the axe and coat details performed by Borja.

What do you think about the weathered effect of the coat?

And coming soon... the Orc Shaman Wurrzag! You'll see what a beauty!
