STONEHORN, MARAUDERS AND CHAOS WARHOUNDS. YEAR: 2015.

Marauders of Chaos return one again wreacking havoc at any place they reach and this time they bring savage beasts with them in order to threat the Old World. Thanks to the great hability of our customer to transformate his models, we can offer you this petite collection composed by a Stonehorn (but it has been tamed and is driven to the battle by some humans), 10 Marauders and 2 Chaos Warhounds, everything customized by our client. Our recomendation is clear: stay here and enjoy these great miniatures!

It is not the first post that we publish about this unique Marauder of Chaos army inspired on the old Conan the Barbarian interpreted by Arnold Swarzeneger. We have already posted here some other great works where you will be able to find:
- Chaos Ogre.
- Mournfang Cavalry, another Chaos Ogre and Marauders.
- Marauder and Marauder Horsemen of Chaos.

Every model wears the classic Khôrne scheme where red, gold and leather are the main colors. Our customers demanded a cold and desolated environment and realistic colors. The Stonehorn below is perfect to appreciate this. The other bases haven't been performed because our client himself wanted to decorate them.

Without doubt, the painter has performed a really nice work on the horns of the beast, famuos for its devastating charges. One of our favourites Ogre Kingdoms models.

In this picture you can see closer the Stonehorn skin and many other details that it has such as shields or different armor pieces. In addition you can appreciate the base, decorated with grey earth and covered by snow. Some bones from a dead animal are buried among the ice.  

One of the Chaos Marauder champions commands the beast. Althought they are excellent warriors, they look pretty small mounted on the Stonehorn. We think that is a funny and original idea that these barbarian tribes have been able to tame beasts in order to use them at war. 

Now let's focus on the unit of Marauders of Chaos that our customer has conversionated from different bits: Beastmen, Marauder Horsemen, Warrior of Chaos even Blood Angels and Space Wolves bits compose sometimes theses special miniatures.

We have wanted to divide the unit in two so you will be able to check them out better. Worth it.

Finally, Marauders of Chaos never go to war without their hounds. Our customer has represented them with two Chaos Warhounds. Due to their excellent smell, they can detect their preys milles away.

To sum up, we want to say that has been a really nice order. We have enjoyed painting these models, specially the Stonehorn. It is a model that we have always wanted to upload in our blog. KHORNE BERZERKER ON JUGGERNAUT. YEAR: 2015.

Chaos remains in our blog one more week but this time we talk about Warhammer 40.000. It is the old version of the Khorne Berzerker mounted on Juggernaut. It is a compact and strong model without too much dynamism but breathes the old style and image of Games Workshop. Of course it is always nice to have orders like this one. Let's check it out:

The colors used are the Khorne typical scheme with gold and red as main colors and metallic lights for details. The base has been decorated with rocky terrain, grey and devastated. Just some dead vegetation remains around the Juggernaut.

Pay attention at the lights and shades performed with airbrush on the paws and Juggernauts body.

CHAOS OGRE. YEAR: 2015.

This week we are here again with a short post before we upload a serie of larger orders that are about to be completed. This Chaos Ogre has been totally built from a Beastmen Mino and comes to join with its numerous horde companions, a vile Marauders of Chaos army from the icy desets of the North:

This Ogre has its own story: in a previous post where we talked about some Marauders of Chaos mounted on Mournfangs and another Ogre among other things, we mentioned a short story about that Chaos beast. Our customer enjoyed so much that post that decided to built a "little brother" for the first Ogre.
Our customer really knows what he does. Do you like the results?

Norsemen has plenty of legends. One of the most popular tells that silly brats that get lost into the deserts of Chaos never return. Well...those rumors are not fully true. Some of those kids came back...but they weren't skinny anymore.

OGRE AND MARAUDERS OF CHAOS. YEAR: 2014.

Once again we are back with more servants of the dark gods. Full of transformations, muscles and brutality some of you can also get some inspiration for your own armies. It is a new delivery of... Marauders of Chaos!

Here you have the new order that we have completed. As you see it is a nice bunch of Khorne Marauders but if you pay attention, you will see that just a few bits are from the original Marauders box (exepting torsos and horses). Our customer loves to transformate his units making them uniques. For example, watch how the miniatures of today could fit along with these Marauder and Marauder Horsemen of Chaos that we painted for him a couple of months ago. They are definetly great.

Inspired on Conan the Barbarian, the backstory of our customer's army is a Norsemen tribe but a little bit evolved than the common Warhammer one, which are mainly composed by infantry and light cavalry. They live in the icy north: highlands desolated by the cold and the corrupted magic of Chaos. Why they wouldn't be able to mutate or tame wild beasts? And...do you know any Warhammer Fantasy made of wild beasts or mountains of muscles? Yes: Ogre Kingdoms. The Ogre Kingdoms boxes are a bottomless pit of pieces for our customer that has created a pair of Marauders mounted on Mournfangs and a Chaos Ogre from the body of a Beastmen Doombull.

MARAUDERS MOUNTED ON MOURNFANGS

But...why we don't see each model one by one? In that way you will be able to see their multiple details.
Let's begin with the Marauders mounted on Mourfangs. The first thing that call you attention is the small size of the rider compared with the Mournfang. This gives to the miniature a look of brutality about what they can loose in close combat. In order to control the terrible beasts, our customer has included chains from the fangs to the hands of the Marauders.

It is great how he has combined the Ogre Kingdoms and Marauders pieces. For example, we are sure that you haven't paid attention at the different size of the torsos and the legs (that belong to an Ogre). The spear comes from the Ogres standard bearer.

The second Mournfang is pretty similar to the first one, but the posture changes a bit. As you see the horns painted in yellow and white and the red of Khorne highlight over the grey present in the most part of the model. The base has been decorated according to the backstoy of the army: snow.

This great conversion of a Beastmen Doombull has multiple Ironguts, Mournfang cavalry and Warriors of Chaos bits. Ogres use to go to battle along with the tribes of Marauders, and they are very appreciated by their chiefs: how a barbarian couldn't want a pure mass of iron and muscles among his lines?.

MARAUDER HORSEMEN OF CHAOS

Keeping the same dynamic of previous orders, our customer has ordered us three more Marauder Horsemen. They have been painted in the same way than the firts ones: horses with different colors, red Khorne armors and snowy bases. Result? Judge by yourselves:

A curiosity: the head of this Marauder rider belongs to a Blood Angels Sanguinary Guardian. It fits nice, don't you think?

And finally in order to complete his Marauder unit, our customer wanted four more Marauders on foot. As you will imagine, they are all transformed. Just to name something: legs and heads are from old Warriors of Chaos.  

Hope you like these models as much as we like them! It is great to see what you can get with some motivation and a great variety of pieces. If you add to this blend a good painting, you can get amazing models. Try it at home!
