MALIFAUX: MASTERS OF THE PATH BOX SET / IZAMU THE ARMOR. YEAR 2014

One month ago (give or take), we uploaded here Yan Lo and Soul Porter, a couple of Malifaux models (you can see them clicking here) For those who unknow the game, it is a tabletop game based on gang fights , in an environment of ruins and magic. Sounds good, right? It is played with cards instead of dices and it's distributed by Wyrd Miniatures.

But fortunately this is not the first time that we paint Malifaux models. In our previous experiences, we had the chance to paint two complete bands, and we have to say that all models are great, full of dynamism and details. As we told you in the post of Yan Lo and Soul Porter, they belong to a larger order. Finally and after days of work, we have completed the rest.

This time we bring you the Masters of the Path Box Ser and the Izamu the Armor, models that we have painted with special attention and care.
Just one more thing: check out the bases of all models. Very japanese!

MALIFAUX: MASTERS OF THE PATH #1. YAN LO & SOUL PORTER. YEAR: 2013

Hi there! After a while we come back with more new stuff.

Today we dedicate our blog to a couple of models from the starter pack of Malifaux: "Masters of the Path".
The ones we show you today are Yan Lo and Soul Porter.

We recomend to you to check out our new posts in order to discover new models of this brand, because we will complete soon this set of miniatures contained on the starter box.
Models of today have plenty hours of work on our shoulders and we think the result really worth it. Do you like them?

SOUL PORTER.
Especially pay attention at its hat and the lanterns.

If you look carefully at the base, the shadow from the spear and the lanterns are reflected on the water.

This model has a great work of cenital lighting.

MALIFAUX, ARCANISTS BAND. YEAR: 2012.

We update our blog again! Summer is ending and we have to seize these days.

The customer that rewarded us one month ago with an Outcasts band of Malifaux, has decided to be generous again and bring us the chance to paint another band, but an Arcanists one now. If the last time we were surrounded of renegades, street thugs, chains and knives; now we move on into a world of Cabaret shows, magic and illusions.

That's right because for this request we have painted the Colette Set Box that includes her miniature, Cassandra, and 2 Performers with their respective Mannequins. But this was not enough for our customer, so he decided to complement his new band with Angelica, Mistress of Ceremonies; 2 Coryphée, 1 Kaeris miniature and 1 Gunsmith Female. Nice!

Finally, to end his Outcasts band, he has passed us a miniature of Hamelin, the Ratcatcher.

Of course, we think that Malifaux miniatures are great, always taking the best topics and cliches, blending them with very dynamic and original postures.

Our customer purposed us bases in coherence with the special environment of these miniautures, that's why we have included on them gold coins and Poker cards all around. The ground has been built of wood to simulate the scenery of a theatre. Can be anything better than all of this?

His base has been painted different because he will be included at the diorama that we are building for the Outcasts band.

We are done with Malifaux by the moment. We thought we would receive another small band in a few days, but the customer finally is going to send us something...different because of the release of the Dark Vengueance set box. You'll see!

MALIFAUX, OUTCASTS BAND. YEAR: 2012.

Today we want to show you something different. After the whole July painting almost Chaos Space Marines,  we have had a different request with a exotic point. We knew Malifaux miniatures and the incredible look that they have, but we never though we would paint a entire band! We've enjoyed these miniatures because each one is totally different than the others and they have many small and nice details, those you have to search in the miniature to realize that are there. Due to this, we've could use many techniques of painting. Moreover, our client is interested in a future diorama where integrate the whole band, so we could spent time in the bases (something that we really like). Pay attention at the broken glass details, for example.

At the beginning the request included a Sue miniature, the Viktorias set box and a Ronin one, but finally our client couldn't resist the temptation and he added a McTavish (he always have had a good eye for miniatures) . For Mc Tavish he gave us two guidelines:
1- Build a special base for him.
2- Add a few little details to simulate that the crocodile is being fed.
And so we did!

Our client wanted something "wet" for the crocodile, so we decided to build a small pier. For the food details, it could be something better than a headless chicken?

To sum up, a varied request which we have enjoyed. Once miniatures are done, they have a great look.

* UPDATE: Now we have more experience with Malifaux miniatures and we have could paint another band of this incredible game for the same customer. However, this time has been the turn for The Arcanists!
