BLOOD BOWL DWARVES TEAM. YEAR: 2015.

Blood Bowl is lately being played a lot between the wargames community and we are currently receiving many orders to paint different Blood Bowl teams like the one we leave you below.
It is a Blood Bowl team from the brand Star Player. The models are pretty good beacause they possess fine details and include many extras such as the markers, a ball, extra figures...
Let's see the whole project!

A board is always neccesary if you want to plan your next move. In addition here we have the team's coach, the doctor and a cheerleader.

Blitzers in blue, the Deathroller, the Chainsaw and a Star Player.

Runners in blue, Bomber and two Slayers.

In green, the Longbeards.

And finally: the markers!

DWARF LORD; MOM MINIATURES. YEAR: 2015.

For those who followed our last post and wanted to see which model was left to accompaign the Longbeards Command Group, finally here is this Dwarf Lord from Mom Miniatures.
This spanish brand has surprised us due to their range of models (very wisely choosen), the dinamysm of their figures and their cheap prices. Althought their resin has not the best quality, you can get great results investing some time on them:

The model has a nice posture on the head of a dead giant. Here you can see the shield details.

Check out how we have performed cenital lights on the armor and clothes. Do not miss the sliced giant neck.

We have dedicated some extra time on the skins both Dwarf Lord and giant.

And finally here you can see how the whole order looks: Dward Lord and Longbeards all together.

LONGBEARDS COMMAND GROUP. YEAR: 2015.

During the last months we painted to our customer some Dwarf characters and a 6th Warhammer Fantsy edition Longnbeards unit, and now, he has wanted to enlarge his collection with the command group.
As is usually on his orders, he has wanted to make unique his models by adding some extra dwarfs that don't originally belong to the Longbeards but fit perfectly among them. If you pay attention at the picture below, you will find the two Anvil of Doom guardians. In addition all shields comes from the current Ironbreakers/Irondrakes box and none of them is repeated in our customer's collection. We love this kind of personal projects!

The scheme of color chosen by our client is his typical red and gold with silver chainmails and grey earth bases. You will find many grey hair among their beards (they suppose to be old and grumpy). But don't believe all details end here. Once you have seen the models one by one you will be able to appreciate that they are loaded with plenty of them.
Our first miniature is going to be the unit champion: the Old Guard.

This musician guides his brothers to the battle with a drum.

Our customer demanded us to perform some freehands on the banner. The book has been painted in grey as it would be rock. On it we have inscribed two runes: the rune of Stoicism and the rune of Slowness, both useful in battle.

Here is one of the Anvil of Doom guadians. If you check it out, we have placed the model over some rocks because it is not on its original desing to be located on a smooth surface. It trully looks like another Longbeard.

We hope you like them because these models came to our workshop with another one...
In order to see which model is...you will have to wait to our next post.
Cheers from the whole crew and thanks for reading!

JOSEF BUGMAN AND DWARF ADVENTURERS. YEAR: 2015.

New post about dwarfs and we certain come back with some special ones.
Josef Bugman and a troupe of Games Workshop dwarf adventurers arrive to our blog in order to show you some of the most lovely models we have ever uploaded. They will surprise you!

Each one of these models is a little masterpiece by itself. As we have already said to our customer, we are in love of them due to their sympathy and simplicity. Without too much details, they can make you smile. Of course, we have to recognize the masterly work performed by Santi, their painter. He has achieved that most of the models are better painted than the original ones (specially Bugman).

JOSEF BUGMAN

We want to start with the most famous model: the ancient brewmaster Josef Bugman. His old brewery was destroyed by a Goblin tribe and his precious ale stolen. Since then he fights restless to honor his dead partners and lost beer.

Check out how clean Bugman and all the other dwarfs have been painted. The beard and face are prefect along with the axe lights. Do not miss the shield neither.

Finally, we couldn't leave this model without remarking the bannner. It is completely homemade. The design, pattern, drawing and of course painting has been all made by Santi. He is an artist.

QUEEN HELGAR LONGPLAITS

A very old miniature from 1997 launched for the campaing the Grudge of Drong. She is a dwarf queen and the last of her lineage. To have a model like this is privilege. Our customer is very lucky!

DWARF ADVENTURERS

The first of these intrepids dwarfs is the Samurai. He wears the characteristic Nippon armor and his beard follows the culture of this exotic country.

This is without doubt our favourite adventurer!

The next in the list is a dwarf with a treasure map. Check out how Santi has painted it including every single detail: a river, some lines, a cross that indicates where the treasure is...

The dwarf mage (what?) possess a crystal ball in order to gaze the future of the expedition. If you pay attention, it has been painted with a final layer of glossy varnish and looks like it is transparent.

A dwarf on stilts is our last character and one of the most endearing. What a happy face he has! Now he is as tall as a human!

We want to tell you that these are not all the models that compose the order. We have reserved two and they will have each one its own post. Due to their popularity and level of paiting they deserve it. If you want to know which models are...stay tuned to our blog!

Greetings from the whole crew!

DWARF LORD, MASTER ENGINEER AND LONGBEARDS STANDARD BEARER. YEAR: 2015.

Threes new dwarves complete this week our loooong list of painted models. Each one has its own details and have required different techniques, so the painter has enjoyed and learnt a lot with these models. We are sure you will enjoy them beacuse they are very special:

We have painted a Dwarf Lord and a Master Engineer from Scibor Miniatures and a classic Longbeards standard bearer which will join his unit of Longbeards in a few days.
We want to write a little bit about Scibor Miniatures because we hadn't worked yet its models, and we have to recognize that they are really good. They have taken the most Warhammer dwarf representative characters and have modeled very dinamic miniatures for our armies. Let us explain each one detail by detail:

DWARF LORD

We start with the most spectacular of the three models. The scheme of colors must be like the one applied in the rest of the troops. If you have clicked in the previous Longbeards link, you have been able to appreciate that they mostly performed in red and gold. Without doubt, a very effective scheme:

Our customer demanded us to emulate the Arkenstone from the Peter Jackson's films the Hobbit. In addition, we had to paint the King's rune on the helmet, that is a small free hand crown shaped.

In this pic you can see the diffent effects performed on the cloak and the gold color at the hammer

Green cloak fits very well along the red armor. The base is pretty impresive and must be painted with dark grey shadows, as it would be in the bottom of a deep cavern.

LONGBEARDS STANDARD BEARER

As we said before, the Longbeards standard bearer had to follow the same scheme than his partners. A trully imposing model.

As main details, check out the face, the beard that characterize this unit and the book placed at the standard.

Standard details.

MASTER ENGINEER

The last model of this post is the Master Engineer from Scibor Miniatures which offered us another challenge with some curious effects to apply on him. Don't you see something strange at his face? Yes, our customer ordered us to emulate that some device has just exploded in front of his nose and his face would be covered with soot and his beard with embers.

Everybody knows that Dwarf engineers are more workers than warriors...and have you ever seen a clean worker? Pay attention at the dirt performerd at his pants, shirt and tools bag.

Until here the three Dwarf miniatures. They are the perfect exemple when we say that even the simplest model can be complicated...and that makes thrilling this universe . Follow our advice: try to break your own challenges even in your most basic miniatures and then you will be able to show them proud.

Cheers from the whole crew!

DWARF LONGBEARDS. YEAR: 2015.

A unit of the most veteran and wise dwarfs has come to our workshop this January in order to be painted. This is our new post in which you will be able to see a regiment of 9 Dwarf Longbeards:

They are metallic models form the 6th Warhammer edition, so they keep all that charm from the Oldhammer. They have been painted in a showy and solemn red colour scheme with golden details. Shields have been changed: they do not hold their old basic shields without any icon but our customer provided us a new improved ones from an unknown brand. They are much more elaborated and fit perfectly for this Longbeards. In addition, we bought 5 extra shields that belong to the current Longbeards Games Workshop box, so each dwarf has his own customized and unique shield.

Red and gold compose the main colors and grant to the unit a look of highborn status and richness. In the end, being a Longbeard is one of the highest honors that a dwarf can achieve.

Check out how many details they carry at their backs: beer pitchers, swords, daggers...

Bases have been decorated with earth and painted in greys in order to create a dark atmosphere. Our customer wants his Longbeards fighting in a mine or in the tunnels below a dwarf fortress.

Here you have a couple of photos about two dwarfs each one in solitary, so you can appreciate better all their details.

We don't want to say goodbay without remembering a post that we recently uploaded. It is about dwarfs too, but that time we painted two Dragon Slayers. You cannot leave our blog without watching it. Those models will stop your breathing.

Thanks for reading!
